  • parking charge notice court proceedings

hi. im new here so hoping for some advice. where i work there is a private car park which we have a permit for. and to my knowledge it was on my dash before i went into work. i have 3 parking charges for this car park. i was on shift each time. anyway they sent all correspondence to my old address as my car was still registered there. i didnt change the cars address over because i forgot due to stresses of moving home with 3 young kids and suffering with severe mental health. by the time they got my new address the fines were £480 and i refused to pay that amount. so fast forward to now they (vehicle control services) have gone through debt company called dcb legal. they have started court proceedings and now i owe £670 according to them after legal costs etc were added. i disputed my health and life situations to them and they didnt even care they said they are still going ahead with curt proceedings.so with that i offered to pay them £20 per month till the debt was paid but they refused and asked for £40 per month which i cant afford. now ive been offered mediation from the courts but dcb legal have sent me a tomlin order which im not signing as i cant afford the £monthly costs. i can prove i was at work on those days i got the charges. what do i do ?

Never sign a tomlin order. Can't you ask your employer to intercede on your behalf with the company managing their car park? Can you attach the Tomlin order here?
