  • Accused of Rudeness in Workplace

    Hi All,
I was recently accused of being rude to a colleague in work and I haven’t been provided with any evidence of rudeness or been told of the person I was rude to. I now feel really bad about myself and feel it’s had a negative impact on my character and mental health. I have been suffering recently with high work load and impossible targets to hit. I have spoke to the doctor on a few occasions and have been signed off a twice. I feel like I don’t want to return to the office on Monday due to fear I might be upsetting people by just being there. Can I raise a grievance on the handling of this to HR? How would I write it? My manager is very unapproachable at the moment and I feel he would try and sway me away from the HR route due to him bringing up the rudeness accusation.

You know how you get on with workmates. Assuming you don't accept the accusation why not just ignore it. It is true that what we focus on grows.
Has this any affect on job prospects et c ?
Working in education we often had ridiculous targets. I just said we were doing our best to achieve perfection and we are human.
