  • Set Aside success what happens next???

Today I had judgement set aside for a claim (Tenancy deposit claims) that I wasn't aware of against me earlier in 2020.
The DJ asked me to file my defence for the amounts I am disputing - and says if I fail in my defence there will be another judgement against me and that will be in my credit file.

    Can someone help/advice with below.
    1) How and when will I get the Set aside judgement document?
    2) Do I need to notify Credit agencies about this set aside judgement or will they get it direct?
    3) How to best file my defence any templates etc?
    4) If I fail in my defence will I have CCJ in credit file reinstated?
    5) Will it stay as settled or deleted completely if I fail partially or fully in my defence?

Please help - I have offered to pay entire amount and discussed with Judge, I am told if I do so my credit file will be marked as settled and not cleared with CCJ.

At this point I am more concerned with my credit file as it has made my life go upside down in the past year.

Please suggest what is the best approach here in filing my defence? or getting the Claimant approve of set aside the judgement and confirming the settlement (don't want anything related to judgement in my credit file)

Please help - I have got only 15days to file my defence.

    Hello LegalBeagels

Can you please help me understand what I need to do next.
I am clue less and don't want to make the same mistake like when I have requested N244 instead of first requesting for consent - at that point I dint comeacross Legalbeagles...
Thankfully there is a lot of information and good people with lots of knowledge here - but for me (novice) its really tricky to get it correct.

Can someone pls suggest if I will be better and less stress if I just pay off Entire amount to the claimant apart from the partial that I have agreed with Judge this morning.
If I can do that. - what's the process?
Does it mean the credit history will still be left with my CCJ ?
If for any reason with my defence judge decides to make me pay full or partial amount as per original judgement - does that mean I will have CCJ returned on my credit file?

As everyone I don't want CCJ on my file and ok to bite the bullet and pay the money off even my consensus says I don't owe them any thing.

    Please please help!!!
