  • Appeal a conviction from October 2019.

I was convicted of assault in October 2019. I now realise how set up, & planned the situation was. Because my ex partner wanted me gone out of her life because she had been committing Benefits Fraud & signing my name, so she had to get rid of me. I also have further evidence of planning & inconsistencies. Also CPS & Police were convinced so they withheld disclosed which undermined the prosecution case. I think a Direct Access Barrister is my best bet ? .. any advice ?

There are different processes for Mags and Crown Court "Fresh Evidence" appeals and as you're well out of time you'll need the court's permission to appeal in the first place.

Have you consulted your lawyer that dealt with your trial?

And be prepared to back up your claim with evidence that the Prosecutor failed in his duty to properly apply the disclosure test.
