In August 2014 I was approached by a local garage which offered to carry out required repairs to my car (replacement of power steering pulley and a few cosmetic repairs.) As my car had been off the road at this point for 4 years, I thought I would soon be mobile again. They STILL have my car! I have been emailing them for over 4 years but they do not reply. I know they have moved premises but I do not where to. I have also contacted at least 10 local Law firms, plus my local Law Centre, my MP and the Mayor asking for help but nobody seems able or willing to help. I need to know where I stand legally in getting my car back. This is only the basic outline of my issue. Please, can anyone on here help? I am not working and having my car back would help greatly - and it wold mean I could see my friends again. Thank you.

Hi there
Difficult to advise with only such limited info. If they have moved address and have not taken your car with them, you would probably need to pursue a claim for conversion under Torts Interference With Goods Act.
