My husband died in November 2020, Three years before he died he made a will with our solicitor myself and grandson are executors, the solicitor kept the original will for safe keeping.I have asked the solicitor to let me have the will as i need it to do probate myself as the will is very simple and i do not have a lot of money to pay what the solicitor would want. I have been asking for two months now but he seems reluctant to give it to me or i do wonder if he has lost it .Can anyone please advise me, as i need to clear every thing up.Many thanks for any help.

Really sorry for your loss and this must be a very difficult time for you. What are the reasons for t solicitor not handing over the will? Have you sent him a copy of your late husband’s death certificate? Sorry for asking this but I’m just trying to work out why they are acting in this manner.
