    Hi everyone
hoping someone can shed some light on an issue I have with the above companies.
so over 10 years ago I had a personal loan with HSBC, due to redundancy which was very short lived( I temped until I obtained new employment) I had a couple of months payment that I could not meet. I was put onto a MANAGED loan for the amount outstanding and made these payments until I went on maternity leave and then naturally I had some issues making payments so decided to go with step change . I was issued a default ..... fast forward 9 years , yes 9 . HSBC sold my debt onto Cabot , Cabot have had this debt for a couple of years through step change and then decided to issues me with another default after having the debt for a while . Is this allowed???
I no longer work as I care for my daughter who is blind and with other health issues , wasn’t able to work again. my credit score was repairing until they put this default on, I guess I want to know if they should have done this ??

    thank for reading
