Stolen goods

My Ford ranger went in for some work in fareham hendy whilst there over night thief’s stole the roll top on the back and then stole my lazer level in its box that was locked in the back , hendy have said they will replace the roll top but not the item that was locked in the back ie my lazer level

Sounds about right.
Goods left in your vehicle are your responsibility and you should claim against your vehicle insurers or home contents insurers
