Myself and my friend met on a private car park at a nature reserve. We both put £1.50 into the machine. The charge was £1.20. The last time we met it was for a three hour period and we unwittingly had not realised that they had changed the duration to 2 hours. I was issued a parking charge notice but my friend did not receive anything. She arrived at the car park prior to me and left after me. I wonder if I have grounds of discrimination as their system is not accurate, in issuing fines.
I have also read on this forum that the company should send you the charge notice within two weeks. The date of contravention was 24/12/ 2020 and they issued the charge on 31/12 /2020. I did not however receive the notice until 08/01/2021 which is after the 14 day period.
