  • Engine failure on financed car

Hi all I bought a bmw 1 series diesel on finance , exactly 12 months later it suffered massive engine failure, to the degree it needed a new engine at the cost of £4000 has the finance company got any obligation to help with the repair, we had a engineers report saying that the car could have had a underlying fault that got worse, they could not totally rule it out , look forward to your help

Depends if the car is brand new, nearly new or second hand as well as the mileage done on the car. You are likely to have more difficulties if the car is second hand with over 100k miles than a new car with only 15k miles on the clock.
