  • CCJ stayed?

    Hi and happy new year!

I had a claim made against me recently from Cabot, i responded and defended it as i said the debt was not mine, this was over 6 weeks ago now, and the defence was acknowledged

My question is this, is it now what they called 'stayed'?

The original 6 year statute barred date has elapsed, as they sent the original claim literally 1 week before it, does this mean the clock is still ticking and its now statute barred?

    thanks

If the date of the claim was before the statute barred date then it remains a valid claim with the clock stopped.

The courts are a bit delayed at the moment, have you looked on MCOL for the status?
