  • Don’t know what to do VT car

    Hi everyone.

I had a car with cls finance. terrible company so I VT the car as soon as I could. Sorted this with them in July, and they asked me if I could take the car to them. So I said p**s off come and collect if. Anyway. They said I would get a call when they were able to pick the car up... funny story the garage we got it from went bust and they said with COVID they had to wait for guidance. Thought that’s fine....

abyway, we are in January now and the car is still sat on my drive way! I have also had no correspondence to tell me that CLS finance is also in administration now which I have been told by several people and I looked up on the trusty google lol

    any ideas?!

You can write to the administrator and tell him you have this asset (the car) which belongs to the finance company.
You consider yourself an involuntary bailee and as per your rights under The Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977 sch 1 you require him :
to arrange collection within 14 days and that if he fails to do so you will arrange sale of the vehicle.
    Send letter by recorded post.

Worth reading the Act Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977 (legislation.gov.uk)
