4 Years in Arrears

I have just checked my credit report and I noticed that I had two credit files for the same broadband supplier. One of them is my normal account that is have had for years, the other has registered as being in arrears of £18 for the last 4 years. Every month it is registered as an arrear every month for 4 years. Upon calling the company they had no records of the account, even though they were logging this late payment every month. When this is corrected should I seek compensation?
