    If a summons or “postal requisition” accuses you of driving at e.g. “80 mph in a 50 zone” and you know for a fact you were in a 70 zone, is the summons invalid ?

    The summons is not invalid, but if you are correct you have a partial defence if you admit to 80mph and can show the speed limit was 70mph.
