  • Bus Gate PCN issued for Siddals Road, Derby

I received a PCN for being in a Bus Lane (Bus Gate) in Siddals Road, Derby. I appealed the decision, but it has been rejected by email. I have been given 14-days to pay a £30 or make further representations. Should I pay the fine? I believe the signage is inadequate & was unaware I had done anything wrong in an unfamiliar area.

You "believe" the signage is inadequate.
Have you checked it against Chapter 3 of The Traffic Signs Manual.Traffic Signs Manual – Chapter 3 - Regulatory Signs (publishing.service.gov.uk).?
Look at section 9 for details on how Bus Lane and Bus Gate signage should be

For £30 I would pay it & take it on the chin. Remember if you forget and it gets to Bailiffs you'll be looking at closer to £530.
