Good Afternoon

Does a 12 month contract with a "Commencement Date" of 01/01/2020 but signed on 02/02/2020 have to run until 02/02/2021 or is it finished 01/01/2021

The start date of a contract can be before both parties have signed, indeed it does not really even need to be a written contract at all except in certain circumstances.
PS if start date is 1st January for a 12 month contract, expiry date is 31st December
