Hi ive read all comments and ive just done the same and I am not put off by it, this is trades college not many people can afford 8 grand upfront so they credit check you pay ur course which mine is 43 months at 180 a month thats 3 and half years, you get ur pack ur log in details and ur tutors details you then ring or email ur tutor to get started, this is NOT school the whole reason of the length of the course is so you can slowly learn ur craft in ur own time the tutor is there to brush you up and point you in the right direction you are given assignments to complete then tested, the practical will be for a portfolio which is why you need onsite experience but you have little if no experience untill you have done maby 6 months to a year and when you are technical enough in whatever trade your doing you can then approach plumbers merchants and self employed gas engineers/electritions when you have enough knowledge, you may get a lot of rejection but eventually somebody will take you on thats where ur onsite experience is built, you may only do 7-10 hours revision a week at home on ur laptop just teaching urself then be called in maby once a week to centres where you will learn ur practical, those who have signed up to this are the people that want to better there position in life if those people do not contact tutors read emails take the thing serious then tutors will not care they are there to help but they wont check on you its up to us to stick to learning they are there to qualify us, unfortunately a lot of us are to eager but not a lot of commitment that 8 grand once ur qualified in ur trade you can earn back in 3 or 4 months from working, when you do stuff like this forget the money do everything you can to pay it its the same in all walks of life its ur future that matters, for the people who gave up before they started next time fully commit good luck to all and merry Christmas.
