Hello, im in Scotland and took out PCP in January 2019. Im nearly 2 years into a 4 year contract, I have paid at least 1/3 off my balance. It states my termination amount is £9989 but I still owe roughly £13k. Plus the fact I have went over my contracted milage hugely. I advised I would use about 8k per year, but when I got the car it had 44k miles, im nearly at 74k, so used nearer 15k per year. I have always serviced the car and recently had a MOT, which passed, but they have advised that the 'flywheel' is about to go and can cost at least £2000.
All my circumstances have changed since i got the car, I am now out of work with ill health, I had major heart surgery and my excess millage is due to constant hospital appointments.
I have maintained my direct debits up until now, however I'm really struggling. Can I request VT early? I am panicking incase the car breaks down and I will have the flywheel payment on top of what I owe? Any help or advice will be hugely appreciated. Thank you

Suggest you read the VT guide below, it has everything to help you. It is optional, but you may want to give reasons for the termination i.e. ill-health, so it is on record but omit any reference excess mileage until it is raised. If you needed to make a complaint to the FOS, you could use that to your advantage and Barclays cannot complain that they weren't aware of the situation.
