Hi
I recently used template letters from this site to terminate my car finance agreement, which were excellent and the termination process went well. However, Santander are now harassing me for £70 collection charge, which I have contacted them about as I do not think I am liable for this under the Consumer Credit Act clause relating to Voluntary Termination. I did inform them that I would be happy to take the car to where it was to go, and claim reasonable cost for this, however that was ignored and a company who collects the cars contacted me and the car was collected by them. I also told this company that I would not be paying the collection charge and they said it would be paid to them by Santander. I have today received another letter demanding the £70 and when I telephoned them they insist I am liable for this. Can anyone offer advice please. Thank you
