  • Newlyn bailiff help

    Hey please help me

newlyn bailiffs knocked at my dads address where I am not present without showing certification and proof of ID with a final notice without receiving others.

the fine was from a private car parking company and I no longer own the car or live at that address.

my dad phoned to tell them I no longer live at the address and haven’t done for years and provided them with my new address.

The bailiff gave my dad his card and I called him to arrange something as he was threatening to take my dads property.

i paid the £500 online to get them away from my family.

Is there anything I can do as I have no idea what the parking ticket is from and haven’t received any communications

If it was for a private parking ticket then they can only have been acting as a Debt Collector. Have you checked to see if there is a CCJ against you. On the other hand if it was a Council ticket then they may well have acted correctly. You do need to establish what it was for.
