EON late payment

I have just had a late payment charge from EON of £10.00 which I am not pleased with. I knew nothing about late payment charges. They referred me to their Terms & Conditions but I was with Powergen when they changed to EON and, of course, back then late payments did not exist. Do I have to pay this charge especially as they keep insisting I read their terms and conditions which, of course I never received or contracted to.

Complaint and Point out to them that you do not have a copy of their terms and conditions, your contract started with Powergen and that was not in the conditions.
