'Time issued' and 'Time first seen'

I have a parking charge notice from a private parking company. The ticket is stating 'Time issued 10:08' and 'Time first seen 10:08'. Reason for parking charge is stated as staff parking in customer car park. Now I was not at work that day I was actually at the shopping centre as a customer but made the mistake of going into the staff door to my work because I needed to pick up some things from my locker there as well. Do they have a leg to stand on if they pursue? I was under the impression they had to give a grace period to sufficiently establish if my parking was legit or not? The time first seen is the exact time of the ticket being issued suggeting the parking attendant did not leave any time to establish the purpose of my parking.
