My daughter parked at Astle Retail Park on 10/10/20. She tried two parking machines but both were out of order. She only had cash on her no card. She parked for 17 minutes and then left.
she received a PCN through the post and appealed it saying she tried two machines and both were out of order and she supplied photographs of both machines stating they were out of order. Smart Parking have upheld the charge stating that three other payment machines were working on that day. My daughter had tried two and both were broken but did not run around the whole carpark trying them all !! Is it worth appealing again ?

I don't think so. Meters not designated to particular spaces. Therefore within car park could have paid.

Has she identified who was driving, simple yes or no?

Has she been to the shop she was using and asked them to get the parking company to cancel
