I am looking to bring a case against two companies for libellous statements they have made about my business and my character. Can I bring this case myself without using a lawyer, and if so, what pre-action protocol do I need to use prior to lodging with the courts. Many thanks.

Id say that when youre dealing with cases such as defamation and you have to ask what protocol to use, its probably best not to take the case to court on your own.Originally posted by Guest View Post
Defamation is high stakes, high risk, high costs if it goes wrong. If you issue in the wrong Court you could find your claim ending before it starts. ITs also difficult to say at this stage whether you even have a case.
