    Thanks for the clarification.
So I will wait a few days and then submit my appeal. No doubt the POPLA appeal site will explain when I should expect a result.
Having read some of the advice you have given to others I will send my POPLA appeal by post, (if given the choice).

I don't seem able to find my last comment, I was sure it was posted however, I said that I will send the POPLA appeal in a few days. I imagine their website will inform me of the next step. Reading your advice to others I will post, (and get proof) the appeal to POPLA, if their site gives the choice and address. If CEL contact me I will deny everything!

CEL wont contact you other than to send you a copy of what they send to POPLA. If you don't receive it you complain to POPLA.

Thanks for that. I'm now going to check out the POPLA appeal site and see what they require

POPLA strongly suggest submitting the appeal online, in fact, there appears to be no suggested alternative

It gives you the option to send a file to them. This would be a PDF format file.

No worries, found their postal address. Out of interest I will pop into The Riviera Hotel, (I won't use their car park!) tomorrow. I will attempt to speak to the manager, explain to him that I parked in the hotels car park while making reservation enquiries, after which, being a warm day, I had a pint of shandy in his outside bar. I will tell him I got a ticket, explain that I'm appealing, and will forward his comments!
