Right to buy nightmate

Hi, needing help/advice as in total despair. Submitted rtb application, was accepted and received rtb2 and section 124. Valuer visited home and was advised would have offer letter by 10th Nov 20. Got a call on Friday from the team saying sorry was a clerical error on their part and not eligible for rtb! mortgage lined up! Can they do this? I'm devastated. Their mistake not mine do I have a legal right? Tia xx

What were the grounds on which it was decided that you were not entitled to purchase under the "right to buy" scheme?
