  • CCJ and COVID

    Hello,
I was issued with a county court claim which I acknowledged and was going to defend, however I have since tested positive for COVID and have been quite unwell. Looking at the paperwork tonight u think I may now be too late to defend this, does anyone have any advice please? I am still really struggling health wise and can’t get my head straight.
    Thank you in advance

If you have acknowledged then you have 33 days from issue date to get your defence to court

Thank you, I was issued the claim on the 9th October and acknowledged on the 18th, am I right in thinking I have until 11th November to complete my defence?

If that's 33 days after issue then yes
