hi. i bought a 2nd hand car in august 2019 from a dealership. it had a 1 year mot. within a month we needed a new exhaust has it had corroded and snapped. the dealership replaced with a new one no questions. august this year we booked the car in for its mot. we got a call from our garage to say it had to be aborted due to huge corrosion in the chassis. the holes were quite big.

i reported this to the finance co and rejected the car. we sent the finance co a report from the garage including photos of the issue. After an independant engineer wrote the car off advising the car was in that state when we bought it. they upheld my right to rejection of the vehicle. now they have withdrawn this and say i have to give the garage the chance to repair it.

where do i stand with this?

    thank you
