  • CP Plus ignored and destroyed, now letter from DCBL - How to proceed?

In March 2019 I received a PCN from CP Plus. I can't recall now but it was about 20 mins over the parking I paid for (Retail Park) I went down the 'ignore' route and with subsequent letters from CP Plus. I hadn't heard anything for sometime and today I have received a letter from DCBL. I am aware that this is just another way to scare me into paying but am now thinking I should actual be doing something to appeal this rather than ignore and wait until they take me to court! I have read about appealing the first letter on the basis of being the keeper does not imply I was driver, but I do not have the original letters, nor my original parking ticket. There are so many threads, I'm finding it a bit of a minefield so if anyone can advise on the next steps to take then i would be very grateful.

DCBL may be acting as debt collectors or solicitors, which is it?

So need the first letter so SAR to the parking company

Sorry, should have included that. DCBL acting as debt collectors. They state in letter I'm too late to appeal too

So SAR to CP Plus - do I need to send DCBL anything?

As DCBL are just debt collectors they will not have much information

Ignoring has not been the advice for some time

Sadly I am now aware of that. So are you saying I won't be able to appeal as they (DCBL) state?

I would be grateful for any info and steps I need to now take

Yes, appeal to show you engaged with them so that you can show it in court. Edit your post so that the identity of the driver cannot be inferred, use "The driver....." etc. The driver drove and parked the keeper is handling everything else.

They may reject it, and probably will but the time limit is a limit of their own making.
