    Is a fine legal with this road sign

    I entered a bus gate at the end of bus lane sign. Didn’t know I was in a bus gate until I saw the marking on the road. Is a fine legal?

    Happened to us at Oxford Rd Manchester. Apparently the council have made a fortune from this! I appealed and lost but gave in at that point as I would have needed to go back and prove my case with pics etc and it would have cost me more than the fine.

      Yes.

      Unless the signage does not comply with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 or you can come up with a valid defence.
