  • ccj from debt collection agency

Please, I need advice on how to remove a ccj.
I just discovered a ccj has been entered against me by a debt collection agency.
The debt was opened with Barclay Card in 2004, the default was in 2012.
Unbeknown to me Barclay Card sold the debt to a collection agency at some point in 2012.
The debt collection agency registered a ccj in my name in 2016.
I have never had any dealings with the collection agency.
Are debts over 6 years Statute Barred?
Many thanks in anticipation of your advice.

If the CCJ was given in 2016 from a default in 2012 then it would not have been Statute Barred and it is still within time for enforcement as well.
