  • Park Watch parking fine

    Hello there

I may have had a bit of bad luck....i pulled over down a one way street as i needed unload some heavy baggage to the building on the opposite side of the road. There was a lorry at a standstill in the middle of the street, hence why i couldn't pull over in any of the spaces/gaps on the left side that were inline with the lorry. I saw that there were some private land signs on the wall at the tip of the bays, but thought it would be ok if i pulled over on the top end of the strip away from any of the bays. Then i received this notice. Eek. Is there anyway i can appeal this? I was there for a matter of minutes.

Any tips or advice would be hugely appreciated. Once of your previous posts saved me from a fine. Thank you.

    Any help would be IMG_20200902_101641__01.jpgIMG_20200902_101635__01__size.jpg

Edit so that the identity of the driver cannot be inferred, use the "driver......." etc

They have not done too well with the requirements of POFA and so cant hold the keeper liable

The warning of keeper liability 9 (2) (f) is incomplete and not as required
The invitation to keeper 9 (2) (e) is not in the format mandated
There is no period of parking, 9 (2) (a)

it sounds as though the signs are forbidding and therefore unable to create a contract. Could you get photos?

I don't believe Union Gate is a street in Bristol, but is actually a building, and so the location of the alleged incident does not exist!

The street was 'silver street' and i'm not sure what they are referring to when they say union gate?

Thank you so much for your reply. So is it best to list the above points when appealing the charge? It is very frustrating, especially as i was only there for 2 minutes, not obstructing anything and was unable to pull over in advance due to the standstill lorry. I've just asked someone to check the sign for me and apparently it says no parking, you will be fined £100 (reduced to £60 if paid within 14days). They are going to send a picture over of the sign for me so i can attach it here.
