I'd welcome advice. My sister was left 10,000 by an old friend who she was no longer in touch with but knew her financial hardship, who died 7 years ago. The executor (his sister) informed her of the bequest by email and said that there was a lawsuit with the council (about his flat) that needed resolving, and then the house needed selling. We've been in touch over few months and its always been the same story....it is about to be resolved. The flat is Bout to be sold. Or there is some sort of a personal crisis (mosttly six months ago that her mother had died).
