Hi I am now a long way down the line from requesting a VT through VWFS back in Feb 2020. To cut a long story short I was 50% paid up but over on mileage and the car was in excellent condition. My car was collected eventually by BCA due to the lockdown and they came back with a cost of 1 alloy wheel refurb to pay only. I paid this and though that was the end of it. Weeks later I received a letter requesting over £2000 for excess mileage which of course I rejected stating my statutory rights under the CCA. They then replied to me on the 19th June saying they had forwarded my complaint to the customer resolutions team and that they had 8 weeks to respond. I have heard nothing since that letter and now that we are over 8 weeks from the date of their letter what should I do to bury this claim? I assume they will still come after me for this money but do they legally have a leg to stand on now this 8 week period has elapsed? Any advice greatly appreciated! Mark
