  • CCJ with Cabot (Restons) and settlement offer

I have a CCJ with Cabot for around 7-8k and currently emplyed full time on medium to low wage. I defended in court for non disclosure of DOA but the judge awarded in favour, long story. However I am currently paying £25 per month after producing a income and expenes form to the judge. It would seem to take for ever to pay this off. My question is are they likely to accept a greatly reduced one off settlement to get rid of this CCJ? many thanks.

You can but try, but send the letter by recorded, keep a copy, sometimes they will accept a reduced figure, but sorry to say not always.
