  • Advice for potential homeless, Housing Application

Hy, not sure where this Question - Thread should be.
Hopefully someone will know where it goes.
Briefly, Elderly, friends, have been staying in a caravan they bought some years ago, holiday site not residential , They have to be off site for a month a year and they have stayed with friends and family, also quite a few weekends a month. They used to rent a home many years ago, but it got to expensive. Due to life time of caravan coming to end, they cant afford to buy a new one or exchange.
Option to apply for social housing, as private sector to expensive, they are in 60s and not brilliant health. But how can they make an application, to council or housing association, if they didnt have a main residence to start with.
Any help or advice please. Or will it be a very big problem.
any help please would be appreciated
