I found out a week ago after the bank denied me a credit application that my Landlord has entered judgment for a major works charge last April; I live abroad, did not receive the summons or entry. The Landlord is aware the flat is sub-let. I want to apply to the court to set aside and suspend enforcement of the judgment. The Landlord now claims the major work as service charges, I pay an agreed monthly service charge, besides the major works they want all the money or go after the property through forfeiture. Please advise me on my options at this point. Thanks for your time in advance.
