  • CMC - Fees

    Hi Everyone .

I am looking for some advice please. The short story

2016 I instructed a claims company to look at PPI . I signed one LOA for one account with barclays which was successful and paid my fees. Barclays contacted me and said hey actually we have two more PPI for you . One to the value of 0.99p (lucky me) and another for £1000.

3 months after this the CMC invoiced me for the fees for the second account.

Numerous times over the last 4 years I have requested them to show me the signed LOA for the other account with the remaining fees. In March 2020 they have produced a signed copy of the LOA. It looks like my signature however is dated 27/11/2017 . Why would I sign an LOA 14months after I was payed out? It really does not make sense.

The payout was on 12/09/2016 . They are stating that the fees still stand and have referred me to dept collectors.

My question is this , Does the LOA only start from the date on the form ? If that is the case would the dealings that they have had with my bank be unlawful ?

    Thank you for any help
