excess mileage payback

Hi. I have voluntary terminated my contract with VW. When I took the pcp out I told the sales assistant I would be doing around 12k miles a year but the figures didn't add up so she decided to put the mileage down to 8k a year to make it work. Do I have to pay back the excess mileage around 15.5k??
Any help would be gratefully received. Thanks
