CCJ (NEVER SEEN) BASED ON ESTIMATED BILL FROM AN ENERGY COMPANY years old

Hi, went through multiple family bereavements incl my husband/daughter's father. Moved a lot, was in a state. I challenged a company had binned over bill. Had new supplier and forgot about it. Moved again. Years later debt company (Lowells) come at me, alleging bill. I explain never seen. I never get it before I find out a CCJ has been put on my account. Never saw it, had no idea about it and therefore could not pay it off. Am now being threatened by the debt company who refuse to send me any CCJ details. Why should I pay it if it leaves credit file in 6 years anyway and why/how can I not challenge this. Whole thing outrageous on priniple and Lowells are vile and some.
