  • PPI payout to ex wife.

I have received my chq of £4753 for ppi claim and am awaiting the claims guys to get back to me for their fee. Two queries of how much will I need to set aside for them and also they have kept half of £9507 as the original loan was in joint name with my ex wife. I filled in and signed the claim and have contacted them to give her address but due to data they couldnt note it. I have informed my ex and sent copy of my letter to her informing her to get in touch with the solicitors. Will she have to pay a fee on her £4753 as I signed the consent form of research not her.

They will likely take a third or thereabouts. This seems to be usual.*

The government introduced a fee cap on CMCs of 20% (24% inc VAT). This applied to all contracts entered into from July 2018.
