  • Tenancy contract

Hi all.* We recently signed a contract for a property - 24 month with 12 month break clause.* We transferred our 5 week deposit and first months rent.* We were all ready to move in and 36 hours before we were advised it was no longer going ahead as the landlord hadn't signed the contract, and for 'family reasons' could no longer let the property.* The estate agent sent us other properties to look at.* The next day, we receive another call confirming the landlord now wants to go ahead, and the family issue was that she broke up with partner.* We told the state agent we would need to discuss this as a couple d now.* He then texts us an hour later confirming the landlord has now signed the contract and the flat cleaned ready for us to move in.* We call him and text, and 2 days later not hears from him.* This contract confirms we were dye to move in and pay from today - and now we cannot move in for atleast another 2 weeks, so don't eant to oay this.* We are now worried regarding the landlord as we want to renegotiate for an 18 month with 9 month break clause.* Is this contract still legally valid after the landlord went back on the deal, and then back on again without us agreeing again? Thanks
