  • BW Legal PRAC default debt to active account

I’m sorry if I have posted in the wrong place but please can someone help? In 2016 I took out a payday loan with Payday UK while experiencing severe financial difficulty. I never heard from them for a year, or received any statements, until Feb 2017. At this time I had received some help from Stepchange and write to Payday to dispute the debt on the grounds of unaffordable lending. I never received a reply. In July 2017 I received a letter from Payday and PRAC to advise PRAC had been assigned the debt. I wrote to both of them to again advise the debt was disputed. I received no reply. In June 2018 I received a letter from BW Legal advising of court action. I write to all thee again advising the debt was disputed and I did not believe it could be assigned to PRAC for that reason. I again received no reply. I have now been in a cycle with BW legal every three months whereby they send me a court letter and I again advise them the debt is disputed on the grounds of unaffordable lending and that I do jot believe it should have been assigned to PRAC in the first place. They send me the same email response each time advising that my claim against Payday is a separate issue and that I need to settle the debt to BW Legal. Payday Uk show the debt as closed on my credit file but PRAC show is as an active account with payments missed each month. I have worked very hard to clear all my debts and to repair my credit file but this will not go away. Please can someone help
