  • Secured loan 😏

    Hi,
    first timer here!

I defaulted on a secured loan (Welcome finance) some years ago.
I took the loan out in 2007. I was paying for years, paid half the loan off. Then got into financial difficulties.
Welcome stopped the interest and I was paying £10 a month...been doing this for years!
Now Coast have taken over and they’re very persistent. Obv not happy with my £10 a month.
    I owe 6k.
I have checked land land registry and it mentions welcome in 2007 and then Coast 2018.

I have not requested any info etc.

    should I request info?
Should I attempt to make a lower offer? (Anyone been successful?)

    thanks in advance
    K

I would request info, SAR from Coast. Particularly as Welcome had Terrible recordkeeping. It may be that there is no record of the loan.£10 per month is very low and I t5hink you should do an income an expenditure to see if you can increase it. The sooner you pay it off the better.
