International Debt Recovery IDRWW UAE debt

Received a letter and 2 emails regarding an old credit card balance left in Dubai. I paid off the majority of the balance after returning to the UK but lost my job and didn't pay the final installment. IDR are now stating i owe the full original balance so none of the 4k i paid has been taken into consideration. Their email says they work as agents for Emirates NBD. Has anyone had any experience with this? I am tempted to ignore but not sure how much power they have and what the consequences are. i have emailed emirates NBD asking what my balance is as i am willing to now pay them the balance but not willing to pay what i've already paid back. ANY advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated its worrying me i am now being chased for debts i worked extremely hard to pay off.

Did you get any response on this? I just had my second letter. Ignored them so far but I'd really love some definitive answers on this one. If you're able to shed any light from your experiences with them I'd be grateful.
