  • Personal injury claim against me

    Hi guys

I was working as a doorman last year and I became involved in a arguement with 6 people, I ended up being charged with 4 counts of assault and I plead guilty and received 4x100 compensation orders against me which I have paid, I also received 160 community service, 10 rehalibition days and 85 court cost and a 1 year community order, everyone involved in the trouble that night including myself was out of order including myswlf and I plead guilty to reflect that

Now today I got a letter from one of the persons who I paid 100 compensation to asking for my insures details for a personal injury claim against me

Surely they can't sue after they have already received compensation as you can get compensation twice can you

Also this person hit me first when I was fighting my way out of a group who had jumped on me and all I did was palm them out the way when I had got the people off me they had a small bruise to the left cheek and received no medical treatment,

I would really appreciate some advice
