  • Emails from IMFS

Has anyone had any dealings with IMFS? seems to be on behalf of IGO4 who I had car insurance with 2016 as far as I was aware was paid in full. The last contact I had was them sending proof of new claims which I don’t think they do until policy*is up to date.

I received this email numerous times into junk/spam, can’t see anything on credit file reflecting this though so unsure what my next steps should be - I’m guessing there must be outstanding balance and I’ve changed address since I’ve taken out the policy, I haven’t responded to any emails yet.

Who should I contact as their seems to be 3 different companies involved, IGO4, IMFS and JC International, Thanks in advance*

    Our Ref: *
Client Name: *JC International Acquisition, LLC
    Client Reference:*
    Creditor Name: IGO4 LIMITED
    Portal Passcode:*

    Balance Due: *£69.85

Please contact IMFS urgently on 0113 350 8520 quoting*

Our efforts will continue until this matter is resolved.

JC International are debt purchasers, so have probably bought a book of debts from the insurers
    IMFS are debt collectors.

Your choices are to ignore IMFS, who it would seem don't have your address.
You could send a SAR to iGO4 who are insurance brokers, to find out what you owed (if anything ... mistakes do happen!)
Pay up and it all goes away!

      Thanks

It seems to be IMFS sending these emails, should I engage with them at all? How far can they take this? It’s a minimal amount in the grand scheme of things and wouldn’t want this to affect my credit rating.

would it be worth sending a SAR to IMFS?

      Thanks again

I wouldn't communicate with IMFS or JC International.
One is a debt collector, the other a purchaser and they will only have minimal information.
They don't seem to have your address so just ignore them for the moment.

        Send the SAR to iGO4.**
The info they supply you should enable you to ascertain whether or not there is an outstanding debt.
At that point you will be able to make a decision on whether or not to pay.

Have you checked your credit ratings?

Thanks - nothing showing on report for IGO4, I'll do the SAR as you say and make a decision from there.
