remainder contingent on life of remainderman

when a life estate with contingent remainder is devised to sister, where does the remainder go until the remainderman is able to take? In this will there is a residuary clause to brother and sister in equal shares share and share alike.

Not sure if the will has been understood.
Basically if real*property is given to a beneficiary for* life, but on the death of that beneficiary the property passes to his heirs, then the interest in the property given to those heirs is a contingent remainder, because those heirs will not definitely be known until his death.
