dartford toll

hi,back in november 2017 i loaned my car to a friend to collect a birthday present(a car) from essex. he used thw dartford toll bridge ans didnt pay the toll.first i heard of it was january 2019 when a bailiff knocked the door.he didnt have any vehicle details or offence date and by the time i got photographic evidence the bill had gone from £125 to £174, which i disputed qs i hadnt had chance to contact the driver.once i had madr contact with the driver it had increased further and had been passed to traffic enforcement.since contacting them i havent heard anything but im worried it will rear its head,what are my options ,and is there a timescale in which yhis can be enforced ??
