My partner, along with his 2 sisters, are named executors of their fathers will.
One of the sisters had full financial Power of attorney for his finances before his death. She has taken in upon herself to complete the accounts and probate application (submitted last week) She has continuously refused to show the accounts ( from the date of death) to the other executors, or any banking details from the time of death.
She closed both his bank accounts and has put all money into her personal account....she says the bank advised her to do so! Any advice?

    Odd advice from a bank!
Would normally anticipate the executor opening a separate account, just to ensure matters don't become muddled.

Regarding joint executors, you might find this link interesting as it sets out the permutations :*https://www.thegazette.co.uk/wills-a...t%20applicant.

When my wife was acting as executor the bank's suggestion was to move everything out of the deceased's account into a new account but with her name and not use the account she already had with the bank.

It's very frustrating. She has been asked to provide bank statements from father's 2 accounts from his date of death. She merely sent me a 1 page photo from each account. Neither even had his name on. He died on 12th April. The photos just showed from 13-18th May. The 18th of May being the date she closed the accounts. She is starting to get quite aggressive and defensive about me wanting to view the accounts.

At what stage do I as an executor have to sign off on the estate accounts?
